An Positive Analysis of Food Demand of Urban Residents in China
This paper uses panel data of food consumption of Chinese urban residents from 2000 to 2004 to model Working Model,and empirically analyzes food demand of urban residents in the East, Midland and West in China in the 21st century. Empirical results show consumption structures of foods changes deeply, demand of Dining Out, Milk and Dairy Products, Dried and Fresh Melons and Fruits will enlarge, and there are some differences in demand of other foods between the East, Midland and West, which makes it very significant adjust Chinese agricultural structure, and develop agricultural production and relevant industry production.
