An Evolution Model of Multiclass, Multicriteria Stochastic Traffic Equilibrium Assignment under ATIS
All travelers in a traffic network are discretized into finite number of classes according to their value of times and are associated with different advanced traveler information systems market penetrations which are endogenously determined by the benefits gained from information services. Travelers make their route choices in a logit-based equilibrium manner on the base of linearly weighted travel time and cost. This paper proposes an evolution model involving these decision making rules under the ATIS.Numerical results show that the model can reproduce and explain the evolutional process of ATIS market penetration and path flow, over days and years.
