The Impact of Social Network on Alliance Capability
A theoretical as well as empirical analysis of influence factors of alliance capability is presented. This study uses data collected from 147 Chinese firms to investigate the relationships between alliance capability and one of its key influencing factors,namely, social network. The paper firstly gives a clear definition of alliance capability and analyzes the basic structure of alliance capability. Then, this paper concretely analyzes the social network and its relationship with alliance capability. Based on the analysis,this paper proposes a series of assumptions and constructs corresponding models. In order to test those theoretical models for reasonable, the paper puts forward a Structural Equation Model (SEM), which is validated by a large sample including 147 Chinese firms. The empirical results are complied with the papers research design and hypotheses.
