Research on the influence of external window on energy consumption of residential building in the hot summer and cold winter zone
External window is one of the most important components of the building. It has worse thermal characteristics, and its heat loss is larger than that of other structural parts. Therefore, the energy conservation of this part will have a brighter future. There are a lot of factors which will influence the energy consumption of the residential building, such as the orientation of windows, the area ratio of window to wall, the heat transfer coefficient and the shading coefficient etc. To what extent these factors can affect the energy consumption of residential building in the hot summer and cold winter zone under different conditions is discussed in this paper. Then the relationship between these parameters and the energy consumption will be obtained which can be used for reference in designing and rebuilding of the residential buildings.
