Analysis on the energy efficiency potential in the envelopes of residential buildings in Guangzhou
Design standard for energy efficiency of residential buildings in hot summer and warm winter zone has promulgated in 2003. Following the requirements of this standard, the enrgy consumption of a residential building in Guangzhou, its reference building and the basic building are simulated by the software DeST-h. Based on the comparison and analysis of the annual cooling load of different types of roof and wall constructions, glazing units, their energy-saving percentages are calculated respectively. Thus, the most effective measure can be found out. The energy-efficient potential of envelope is discussed.
