The study on the home kitchen air curtain hood with variable height shroud
This investigation was performed to find the characteristics of the home kitchen air curtain hood with variable height shroud. Several nozzles which have different heights are tested to investigate the interrupting effects of heat and mass for the air curtain on variable height shroud. The results of this investigation is to suggest the optimal operating condition for home kitchen air curtain hood with variable height shroud to improve for ventilating performance. The home kitchen air curtain hood with variable height shroud has been decreased CO2concentration and has been affected a little humidity in the room and has been improved the local exhaust efficiency and temperature distribution. The highest height shroud is shown the best efficiency such as the heat and mass interrupting effects. The study demonstrates that the home kitchen air curtain hood with variable height shroud more comfortable and energy -conserving than the general home kitchen hood.
