Characteristics of non thermal plasma photocatalysis decomposing toluene
The packed bed of non thermal plasma-catalytic reactor is made by combining TiO2 photocatalst with a dielectric barrier discharge plasma reactor. The test has showed that a layer of blue light produced on the surface of non thermal plasma-catalytic can replace the ultraviolet radiation during TiO2 photocatalst catalysis.Meantime the effects of temperature and intensity of electric field and air flow speed and packed material TiO2 on the efficiency of the novel purification technique purifying toluene are analyzed and tested. The results of experiments also show that non thermal plasma-catalytic reactor can obviously improve the efficiency of purifying toluene under the condition of low temperature and high air flow speed, and mostly show activity of catalysis under the condition of high temperature.
