Natural ventilation in solar chimney affected by thermal and geometric factors
This paper numerically investigates the mass flow rate of solar chimney with variational thermal and geometrical conditions. It can be concluded that the most efficiently chimney width is determined by the intensity of heat transfer; The inducing effect is affected by the enlarging of opening size, but the performance of which is unlike when Rayleigh number ( Ra. ) varies; The position of room air inlet is also studied and it concludes that the bottom opening will lead more air flow than the ones in other positions do.
