The energy efficiency comparison between two air- conditioning systems combined with dedicated outdoor air system
With dedicated outdoor air system, temperature and humidity control are decoupled by using outdoor air for moisture removal and sensible heat extractor for temperature control. Choose the radiant ceiling and fan -coil unit as the sensible heat extractor. To evaluate the system performance and the energy savings potential,exergy efficiency of these two systems is made a comparison in certain villa in Shanghai. The results indicate that chilled-ceiling combined with dedicated outdoor air system could save up to 18％ primary exergy consumption, in comparison with a fan-coil system.
