DEVELOPMENT OF A FIELD MEASUREMENT OF UNSATURATED HYDRAULIC CONDUCTIVITY IN SLOPES
This proposed method especially does not need to measure the suction of in-situ soil; therefore, does not use tensiometers. The soil moisture profiles in a vertical seepage flow can be easily measured using dielectric constant-type moisture sensors. Field measurements of unsaturated hydraulic conductivity were conducted in several slopes by this sigmoid function. Moreover, laboratory tests were also performed with undisturbed samples taken from the field. As result of comparison, both of unsaturated hydraulic conductivities were found to be good agreement. It turned out that the proposed method is ideal for the insitu test because of the earmark that does not need measurement of matric suction.
