Quantitative Approaches for Supplier Selection Problem in Supply Chain: A Review
As one of the most crucial components of the purchasing function in a supply chain, supplier selection is essential to improve the entitys competitiveness and to increase customers satisfaction. Authors propose many methods to solve the problem, including qualitative and quantitative. This paper review the existing quantitative approaches for problem of selecting suppliers. We concentrate mainly on these models: linear weighting models, mathematical programming models and total cost of ownership models.
