STATUS OF SOLAR THERMAL CONVERSION IN CHINA
China has an abundant solar energy resource. Solar thermal conversion systems have been studied for more than 25 years and solar thermal industry has been developing since 1990s. 18 million m2 solar collectors were sold and there were accumulated installation of 90 million m2 by the end of 2006. All-glass evacuated tubular water heaters has Chinese market share of 87％ in solar water heaters which mainly providing domestic hot water. Solar space heating and cooling have been demonstrated and solar thermal power is under developments.
