WHAT IS THE ACTUAL PRICE OF SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC ELECTRICITY
Most of the rooftop grid-connected photovoltaic electricity systems on residential buildings are installed by individuals interested in generating part of their electricity needs emission free on-site. For such people the economics of the PV electricity generation was likely to be of secondary importance. Price of electricity from such solar photovoltaic applications depends very much on the location and the amount of sun energy received by the location. Solar technology is relatively expensive, so in order to grow it has to compete with other conventional technologies. For small grid-connected residential rooftop PV system, the comparison with the electricity from other conventional energy sources is usually made by the end user electricity price.
