CONCEPT MODEL STUDY OF GLOBAL SOLAR ELECTRICITY NETWORK
A concept model of global solar electricity network which will connect the power demanding areas and the main solar power plants distributed in the arid parts of the world is studied to propose a new concept of “Solar World. The optimum PV cell area distribution among the nine solar power plants is estimated to supply required power to the four main demanding regions of East Asia, South Asia, EU and North America. The development targets of DC super conductive cables for the network are also discussed.
