HOW RES STARTED IN BULGARIA- PROFESSOR VELISLAV IVANOV
The contemporary RES achievements started with Prof Velislav Ivanov in Bulgaria. Here are traced his reach creative and scientific (nearly 60 years) work in its different aspects. From the very beginning (1933) most of his projects and realizations are innovatory – not only as engineer, but as scientist, pedagogue, organizer, promoter, inventor-step by step as to Head of Department of “Technical thermodynamics and Heat Technique in Technical University in Sofia, then chair of scientific Laboratory and after 1977 year – head of RES corporation. As author of 6 manuals, different calculation methods, founder of departments and corporation he also sequenced the world most important RES trends and achievements with then educational systems and industry in Bulgaria. His followers are among the Bulgarian RES professionals today. His influence on the contemporary RES/EE situation in Bulgaria is enormous and stable.
