DESIGN OF A CONTROL SYSTEM USED TO SIMULATE THE DAILY VARIATION OF SOLAR RADIATION USING ELECTRICAL POWER

In order to simulate the daily variation of solar radiation, a Visual Basic computer program has been designed to control the power supplied to an electrical hot plate. The program employed a combined feedforward and feedback structure. The design can be used as a solar radiation simulator for the design of solar concentrators and for characterizing a TES system.
