THE RESEARCH OF MAXIMUM POWER POINT TRACKING ALGORITHM IN PHOTOVOLTAIC GRID-SYSTEM

The paper analyses the characteristics of the photovoltaic power system comprehensively, on the basis of single apex of output power P-V curve, a sort of Maximum Power Point Tracking algorithm based on loss-free resistor is proposed, combining solar battery and loss-free resistor achieved by Buck-Boost converter, obtaining the maximum power point by controlling the equal resistance of loss-free resister based on the power delivered to the load. This improvement can reduce system energy loss. The result of simulation demonstrates that the system has a better stability as well as can obtain the maximum power point of photovoltaic panel fast and exactly for each illumination intensity and environment temperature and any load.
