PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF SOLAR PHOTO VOLTAIC MODULES UNDER FIELD CONDITIONS THROUGH A QUICK DIAGNOSTIC TOOL

As the installation of Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) plants are on the increase, performance of PV Module under field conditions becomes an important issue while evaluating these PV Plants. To determine this performance degradation, field measurements are necessary, which demands the use of diagnostic tools like I-V Curve Tester right at the field to localize the PV module related problems. Though this type of diagnostic tool is available in the market it is relatively expensive and PV practitioners are not afford to have these expensive units. To solve this problem, an inexpensive unit has been developed and field tested.
