NO DIMENSIONAL SOLAR FRACTION STUDY IN A SOLAR COOLING FACILITY FOR DIFFERENT SPANISH CLIMATES

When dimensioning a new solar cooling facility, the increases in the solar fraction due to the number of solar thermal collectors, or to a greater installed heat storage, or to the size of the chiller must be taken into account for a good return of the investment. The use of a bad relation between these three parameters and the building cooling loads makes a so long payback period, so its good to know how much is going to grow the solar development when a square meter more is added or when a smaller tank is chosen or when the chiller is over-dimensioned. A well dimensioned system is the first step to maximize the exploitation results, that must be followed by a good control system to optimize operational variables.
