THE INTEGRATION OF SHALLOW SOLAR-POND AND SWIMMING POOL
A way of integration of shallow solar-pond into swimming pool is proposed for collecting, storage and utilizing solar energy. On the basis of its characteristic—no limits to depth and heat extraction, shallow solar-pond part can heat the water of swimming pool, share the heat loads of ventilation and air-conditioning as well as provide hot-water for bath purposes, etc. The principle and structure of the integrated pool are introduced, and performance of the integrated system is analyzed. The economic feasibility is evaluated, through comparison with conventional heating sources, such as boilers and electric heaters.
