STUDY OF THE OPTIMUM WORKING TEMPERATURE FOR A REAL SOLAR COOLING ABSORPTION FACILITY IN VALLADOLID

In this work, a comparison of the energy produced from a solar absorption facility based on different activation temperatures and parameters of collectors has been made. Thermal chillers improve their efficiency when the temperature of the focus that is feeding them is greater while the collectors are working in bad yields when the medium temperature inside them grows. This makes so important to know the optimum operational temperature for each solar system. With the use of a simulation program, TRNSYS 16, the solar cooling absorption facility situated in CARTIF Foundation′s building placed in the continental climate of Valladolid (Spain), has been modeled. In the system configuration exists cold and heat storage tanks to make the cooling offer a little independent of the demand. Varying the parameters of the existing collectors that can be found in the market and the temperatures needed to drive the chiller, a complete revision of the possibilities has been done.
