STUDY ON THE INTEGRATED CONTROL SYSTEM AT SOLAR POWER TOWER PLANTS

The Solar Power Tower (SPT) plant consists of concentrator and receiver unit, heat transfer, exchange and storage unit, transmission and distribution unit, auxiliary unit, integrated control system and so on. Each unit has its independent control modules, and integrated control system assembles every unit as a whole to analyze, coordinate and optimize the function of the system, making sure that the plant can be operated according to the designed control schemes and operating modes under various conditions and running phases and works in a safe, high-efficient, economic and stable way. In this paper, put forward a type of network configuration of integrated control system and the control function of each unit at SPT plant. Also, the corresponding control strategy and model were developed for the following key units: heliostats control and heliostats field dispatch optimization, water level control in receivers, main steam temperature control, steam supply pressure and temperature in heat storage system control under heat releasing condition, and the main steam pressure control. Now, the major achievement in this paper has been successfully applied into the control system of Nanjing 70kWe SPT plant in China.
