SHAPE DESIGN AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL SOILD MODELING STUDY OF WIND TURBINE BLADE

According to the Betz theory and actual project, the bladesshape of a medium wind turbine was designed. On the basis of this,a kind of 3D modeling method was offered for wind turbine blades.First of all,the airfoil data of blades are converted to form the data of the 3D-block body of blades on the ground of coordinate conversion. Secondly,the complex surface of blades was drawn by using UG software with a powerful surface modeling function.The method given in this paper decreases our workload in modeling a complicated object like wind turbine blades and so on.Modeling wind turbine blades is convenient for their structure analysis and mechanics performance calculation.
