BIOMASS AS TRADITIONAL AND LOCAL SOURCE OF ENERGY IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
The paper is focused on history of biomass usage in the Czech Republic – importance of renewable resources from the point of view of the Czech Republic energetic policy. It is also clarified usage of biomass energy in present times from the sources point of view. The paper is also concentrated on usage of phytomass and biogas and renewable resources. There is defined total production of biomass in the Czech Republic as well as estimation of total utilizable potential of biomass in the Czech Republic. An important theme of the report is finally usage of energy from the biomass – usage of biomass for heat production (household heating, heating for cooking, and heating of water by the help of gas-engine) and electric energy. Other themes are: economic and energetic aspects of biomass usage, market with biomass for energetic biomass usage, competitive strength of biomass comparing to other fuels, environmental aspects biomass usage.
