A New Pedagogy in Computer Architecture Based on Opensource Processor LEON2

摘要：

Design and implementation of LEON2 processor were introduced into Computer Architecture course for EE graduate students. In the course students were guided to master Instruction Set Processor (ISP) notation. ISP-Simulator-HDL processor design flow is presented. With the analysis of LEON2,students know the relationship between ISP notation and processor design. The LEON2 design was implemented and tested in FPGA. This course is practical. After the course,students understand how to design a processor from ISP notation.
