Consistent Query Answering under Integrity Constraint
This is a common situation that data are commonly corresponds to integrity constraints in a single DBMS; however, data may be inconsistent in several independent data sources. Most of the information is still useful, and need be retrieved when queries are answered.Consistent query answering is an approach to query inconsistent databases without repairing them first. The goal of this research is to develop methods to retrieve consistent answers for large practical classes of constraints and queries from RDBMS and data integration systems.We study the first-order query and a query-rewriting algorithm to compute consistent answers,
