Agent-Based Multi-Dimensional Trust Model in Grid Environments
Provision of services within a grid environment for resource sharing across institutional boundaries has become an active research area. Many such services encode access to computational and data resources. Consequently, we envision a grid environment in the future, where service consumers are represented by intelligent agents. If interaction between agents is autonomous, it is necessary for these agents to be able to choose autonomously in a set of same (or similar) services. In such a scenario, because the consumers needs are different in different situations, the service nodes may need to consider the trust of the service provider in a specific domain or in a combination of multiple domains. Current trust model cant deal with the trust computation of multiple domains. This paper presents a novel multi-dimensional trust model, which can be embedded in an artificial agent and enable the agent to make trust-based decision autonomously.
