A Multipath Switch Approach Based on Traffic Prediction in Open Network
Multipath routing mechanism is vital for reliable packet delivery, load balance, flexibility in open network(Ad Hoc,WSN, mobile P2P and so on),because its topology is dynamical and node has limited resource. This paper proposes a new multipath switch approach based on traffic prediction according to some characteristics of open networks. We use wavelet neural network (WNN) to predict the node traffic because the method have not only wavelet good approximation property, but also neural network self-learning adaptive quality. When the primary path is found failed by traffic prediction, alternate path will be occupied according to switch strategy in advance. Simulation results show that the presented traffic prediction model has better prediction accuracy, the approach based on above model can balance network load, prolong network lifetime, decrease the overall energy consumption of network.
