Crisis Management and the Renewal of Post-crisis
Crisis management is growing as a field of study due in part to the frequency and high nature of recent crisises such as 9/11, Anthrax and bioterrorism in the mail supply and the Songhua River Pollution event. While the domain of crisis management is still developing issues of due diligence and organization liability suggest that crisis managers, crisis management experts, coroners, official investigators and judges need to consider an effective way for the renewal of post-crisis. As an important part of crisis management, post-crisis communication following a crisis is often showed as a search for scapegoats as survivors and managers seek to project blame elsewhere. This paper introduces situational crisis communication theory and image restoration theory, and then examines crisis discourse that emphasizes renewal and growth based on the system dynamic model over issues of blame, responsibility and liability.
