EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON DUCTILITY PERFORMANCE OF THE SRHSHPC FRAME COLUMNS

Based on experimental investigation under Iow cyclic reverse load, ductility performance of steel reinforced high strength and high performance concrete (SRHSHPC) frame columns is studied. Four main factors for ductility performance of the SRHSHPC frame columns, that is, shear span ratio, axial compression ratio, stirrup ratio and grade of concrete strength are taken into consideration. Failure models of specimens with recombination function (compressing, bending and shearing) are analyzed. Load-displacement hysteresis curves and skeleton curves of the SRHSHPC column specimens are obtained. Relation curves between equivalent damping ratio and main factor is also confirmed. Meanwhile, based on test results of yield displacement and limit displacement, ductile coefficient of specimens are attained and the relation curves between ductile coefficient and every main influential factor are obtained too. The damage constitutive relation and damage model are discussed. The correlation curve between damage value and displacement is attained which reveals the process from damage development to failure. The results indicate that the SRHSHPC frame columns have good ductility performance besides keeping high bearing capacity, and their technological economic advantages are outstanding.
