EXPERIMENTAL- THEORETICAL METHOD OF CALCULATION OF REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMNS BEIGN DESTRUCTED BY LONGITUDINAL IMPACT
Experimental-theoretical method of reinforced concrete columns destruction by repeated longitudinal impact has been analyzed. The experiments have been carried out on a concrete monkey to check influence of repeated impact loadings when a steel plate with a metrical device fastened to the top of the column. The process of destruction occurred on the low frequencies of fluctuations spectrum on the first and second forms. Duration of loading influence of each subsequent impact towards to the previous one grew multiply. Thus corresponding deformation veloclties were reduced and the spectrum of own frequencies of fluctuations was extended. The concrete heads or bases of all tested columns were destructed and longitudinal working reinforcement was unstable. In the cross direction the spectrum of fluctuations was wider in all tests and one could conclude that columns destruction happened because of longitudinal cracks formation. In the calculations influence of the falling loading on the frontal surface of a column was modeled by velocity of the frontal surface of its head. Microdestructions in concrete can appear under compression influenced by deviation pressures that results in resistance decreasing to destruction. Fragmentation of the material damaged by the cracks and subjected to influence of extending pressures occurs in the case of relative volume of emptiness becomes critical. Calculation of reinforced concrete columns durability under longitudinal repeated impact is carded out within the framework of the abovementioned model.
