EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF COMPOSITE BEAM
From the load carrying capacity at the maximum load limit state, the ductility and the post yield ductile behavior were demonstrated. The seismic performance was validated with the sufficient energy dissipation capability found from the hysteretic load displacement relationships. The stiffness degradation of the composite beams was found to be gradually descending with enough ductility.Acceptable agreement was also observed between the measured and calculated post yield behavior. Besides, the analytical methodology of this paper can predict the flexural moment strength at each limit state.
