AXIAL FORCE OF PRESTRESSED COMPOSITE GIRDERS WITH STEEL U -SHAPE GIRDERS UNDER UNIFORMLY DISTRIBUTED LOAD
A new type steel and concrete composite girders with cold formed steel U section has been proposed. It has many advantages, such as high load-carrying capacity,convenient links, great rigidity, flexible use, high bearing fatigue, and well durability etc. The interface slip of prestressed steel-concrete composite girders with steel U-shape girders appears to a certainty with the external load, the internal force of prestressing cable will increase along with external load continuously, which induced bearing capability of concrete flange plate, steel U-shape girders and shear connector changing. Axial force differential equations considering the effect of interface slip and internal force increment of prestressing cable were established based on elasticity theory, and axial force calculation formulas were presented. Results showed that girder axial force would increase in the connector stiffness adding, the axial force value at the mid-span was the maximum and one in the end was approximately zero.The effect of prestressing internal force increment to composite girder axial force was much little, so it could be ignored.
