Modeling the interface instability and mixing flow during the process of liquid explosion dissemination

The liquid flow during the process of liquid explosion dissemination is a typical very complex high-speed unsteady motion with multi-scale in space and time. In this paper, it is indicated that the interaction between moving shock wave and gas-liquid interface is the essential problem during the process. Considering the action of explosive shock wave sufficiently and the compressibility of liquid in some extent, some results from numerical simulation and experimental studies are presented. The primary characters of liquid annulus break-up are analyzed. Moreover, some numerical results about mixing flow between gas and liquid drops in far-field are also presented by using the stochastic trajectory model for two phase flow.
