Study on supercharging effect in artillery recoil mechanism and the effects
This paper explored the “effect of supercharging in artillery recoil mechanism caused by liquid leaking and its effect to the seal tightness of recoil mechanism. By properties, divided artillery recoil mechanism liquid leaking into static liquid leaking, osmosis liquid leaking, adhesion liquid leaking and gap liquid leaking. Introduced their special mechanisms and characters. Analyzed the reason why the pressure in artillery recoil mechanism mounted up when the liquid leaking took place. And calculated the pressures in different leakages by simulation. Studied the hazards of the supercharging to the performance of artillery, especially to the tightness of different kinds of recoil mechanism seals. The theories in this paper are valuable to recoil mechanism design and artillery tests.
