Large eddy simulation of Res influence on the quasi-periodic motions of the turbulent flow over a backward-facing step
a second order Euler-Taylor-Galerkin finite element method is used as the space discretizingscheme for large eddy simulation of the ow over a backward facing step ow at Re=47 625. Timeprocess of pressure at a given point were used to analyze the in uence of Reynolds number on thequasi-periodic motions of large scale eddies in the ow. As the result show, the higher the Reynoldsnumber, the higher the quasi-frequency.
