Research on optimizing design for diffuser-tower structure of primary fan in shaft

Diffuser-Tower (DT) is an equipment reclaiming energy of primary fan in shaft. The structure of DT is closely correlative to energy degradation of primary fan, however reasonable inner flow field is related to DT structure. On the base of hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), experimental fluid mechanics and other coherent theories, the paper is in virtue of turbulent mathematics model on airflow streamline in diffuser, and analyzes boundary conditions for CFD, and simulates flow fields and pressure field corresponding diverse DT constructers by FLUENT. Simulating results are in accord with spot menstruations. The relation, between reclaiming outflow kinetic energy and energy degradation owing to DT structural resistance, is searched out with summarizing optimized outflow angel and section ratio of diverse DT constructers. Furthermore, the paper discloses aerodynamic mechanism about energy conservation and reducing energy consumption of DT. Conclusions can guide the design of optimization diffuser to a certain extent, and have rather realistic sense and promote to certain extent application virtues on ventilation energy-saving.
