Investigation into hydromechanical deep drawing of aluminum alloy complicated components in aircraft manufacturing

This paper addresses to make optimization of the blank shape and the effect of the pressure in the die cavity on the formed parts by using the typical aluminium alloys in the aircraft manufacturing. By means of both numerical simulation and experiment, using two typical parts in aircraft, the forming processes in hydromechanical deep drawing were discussed and the key process parameters were optimized. It proves that the experimental results keep reasonable agreement with the numerical one.
