Computer Simulation and Analysis of SBQ Rolling Conditions
In the shape rolling of bars, it is important to take proper account of forming parameters of a material in deformation zone for achieving the special bar quality (SBQ). To determine the roll force and identify the cause of inner fractures in the material it is necessary to take in to consideration the stress and strain distribution within the hot rolled bar. A model produced by finite element simulation allows us to predict such occurrences as well as the final shape of the product, the temperature, stress, strain and strain rate distribution that could indicate the microstructure evolution and strength properties of the billet. The paper dials with the analysis of deflected mode of round bar during the rolling in oval-circle roll-pas design. The temperature and deformation fields as well as calculated geometric parameters of the billet and assessment of error are considered.
