On the Model of Fusing Agent Infiltration of Carbon Fiber Bunch by Supersonic Method
Fusing agent is used to help metal infiltrate into fiber bunches during infiltration manufacture of fiber reinforced Al-Mg alloy based composite wires. The agent could dissolve in water to form a kind of water-based solvent and then adhere on the fibers. But the solvent is not easy to distribute in carbon bunches. Therefore the supersonic method was used in this work. The critical infiltration pressure equation for the solvent infiltration was introduced into the supersonic pressure equation to obtain the relationship of supersonic parameters, location of the fiber bunches and radius of amplitude-changing rod.
