Effect of Friction Stir Welding Parameters on the Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of 304 Stainless Steels
In this study, 304 stainless steel sheets were welded by FSW method. The effects of welding speed on the microstructures and mechanical properties of joints were examined. Experimental results showed that the strength of the sound joints increases with increasing of welding speed. The microstructures of joints are also significantly affected by the welding conditions, due to different thermomechanical cycles experienced by the material.
