Investigation of melt-remove dynamics in processes of the gas-jet assisted laser fusion cutting
Investigations of the dynamics of the melt in the gasjet-assisted CO2 laser fusion cutting by pyrometer have been performed. For this purpose it was used the bar consisting of 4 two-color photodiodes. Brightness of local points of melt has been measured precisely with tolerance limit about 0,1 mm and with time resolution as short as 250 ms by using of fiber-optic cable. The results of signal processing for steel plate 6 mm and 10 mm thick are reported. The measurements of local brightness and brightness temperature were conducted for different values of cutting speed and assisted gas pressure. The method of investigation of the spatial dynamics of melt by using multi-channel correlation analysis is presented. It is shown that the method allows obtaining the data on melt movements in the process of laser cutting.
