AN OCEAN FLOW VISUALIZATION METHOD BASED ON SYTHETIC FEATURES DECTION
Flow visualization is an important topic in scientific visualization and has been the subject of active research for many years. This paper presents a method for visualizing ocean flow based on synthetic features detection.By the method, we use line integral convolution (LIC) and topological flow methods to generate the first images from the source data. Then use the arrow method to generate arrow image. The next step is the images synthesized by all these images, and then the last step is to discuss the problems when the flow is time-varying and present solutions.Vortex is an important structure of flow.Vortex detected and visualized is always a challenged topic 67.Vector field decomposition is used to detect the vortex in this paper. The result animated image can be gained and more information can be seen from this.
