AN INNOVATIVE THREE-PHASE DOUBLE-CONVERSION UPS WITHOUT TRANSFORMER USING Sixpack IGBT TECHNOLOGY
New generation high performance three-phase, double conversion UPSs use the most recent Sixpack IGBT technologies. In order customers are able to fully benefit from the advantages which result from the compact size and the regulation flexibility of these components, their use requires that many other techniques are mastered.This article, after a brief reminder of three-phase UPSs,presents the possibilities provided by Sixpack IGBTs.It then looks more closely at the technical choices that must be mastered if these components are to be used in an optimum manner, and best use made of their advantages.And finally, it presents practical aspects and the resulting characteristics of a completely new UPS range.
