UNSTEADY FLOW PATTERN IN CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSION SYSTEM UNDER ROTATING STALL AND SURGE
Unsteady flow patterns caused by rotating stall and surge in centrifugal compression systems were examined from experimental results. The characteristics of flow patterns were investigated both for rotating stall and surge as the decrease of the flow rate. Based on these, lumped parameter models were applied to simulations of rotating stall and surge. The simulated results showed the good agreements with those obtained by experimental ones.
