THE INFLUENCE OF MEASURE-DENSITY ON COMBUSTOR CHARACTERISTICS
The temperature distribution at combustors outlet is the main characteristics of combustor; it can directly affect the reliability and life of turbine guide vane.The apparatus of scan measurement is used to gather the temperature pattern at combustors outlet, the average work temperature of gas is about 1700K, and the maximum temperature is about 1950K, as cooling medium of measurement part, water and air is necessary.In order to get real temperature pattern, it is important to acquire high-density measurement points. There are two ways to improve the density of measurement point at combustor outlet. The one is to improve the density of measurement point in circle, another is in radius.Usually, for intermittent measurement device, we can change the interval of circle angel to get a high-density temperature distribution. for example, the test device of engine F101 designed measurement angle of 1.5° in circle. In this study,we adopt a continues measurement manner to get point in circle, the angle between two measure-points is 1.286°, it means 280 points are gathered in circle.The exit height of annular combustor is about 40-50mm, 5 or 6 measure points are usually arranged In radius, it is different to arrange more points. In this device, we arrange 10 points at range of 45.5mm, thermocouples are distinguished two-form with interlaced point by geometry coordinate the exact coordinate of measure point is required, the error of geometry coordinate is ± 0.5mm, we arrange four thermocouples in circle. And get temperature field of 2800 measure-points once.The area of combustor exit is about 976 square centimeters.The density of measurement is high enough to 0.35 square centimeters per point.We draw-out data from the whole datasheet at intervals,data of each group will reduce in turn, each group include temperature point of 2800, or 1400, or 700,or 350. Several groups of temperature distribution with different density are formed. The next step is data processing to each group, main characteristics of combustor include arithmetic or integral average temperature OTDF ( Overall Temperature Distribution Factor )、 RTDF ( Radial Temperature Distribution Factor ), the calculation result of combustor characteristics is quite diverse to data from different group and different measuring density. The veracity of temperature characteristics is increasing with the improving of measure density.
