INTELLIGENT DESIGN FOR AERO-ENGINE PIPES BASED ON GENETIC ALGORITHMS
This article discusses the use of Genetic Algorithms based intelligent design in the aero-engine pipes routing problem. In order to improve the efficient of computer aided routing, pipe paths are automatically created. The path could be a shortest line that avoids obstacles such as accessory, other pipes, inspecting spaces etc. Forty-four domain regulars are made for routing aeroengine pipe, which include knowledge of manufacturability, safety, maintainability, assembly-ability etc. Genetic algorithms are introduced into the routing pipes.The fitness function is built for creating pipe path. Some domain regulars for routing are represented in the function.Pipeline segment routed in different space is affected by the weight of the space. Special reproduction operator and crossover operator are used in the pipe routing GAs. Pipe path search using Genetic algorithms is practiced on engine mockup.Twenty typical pipes are automatically routed on the complex space described with 3D grids. The feasible is proved for routing pipeline intelligently.
