USING FAULT TREE MODELING BOEING 737 ENGINES MEL
As many complex logic judgments need to be done by the executor of MEL, the MEL Sheet Model is not convenient for use. The objective of this research is to demonstrate the effectiveness of Fault Tree (FT) technique on the MEL Sheet Model. Researchers studied the Boeing 737 Engines MEL Sheet Model, summarized its typical logic structures and Fault Tree models, gave three main simplifying methods of FT, and modeled part of the Fault Tree models of Boeing 737 Engine MEL. Results indicated that MEL FT model could overcome the shortage in the MEL Sheet Model, and synthesizing the two models would be beneficial to the executor of MEL. In the end,this paper brings forward the future works need to be done when the new technique applied in practice.
