IMPROVEMENT ON THE STALL MARGIN OF LOW-SPEED AXIAL COMPRESSOR BY USE OF MICRO TIP INJECTION WITH INLET DISTORTIONS
The application of micro tip injection is utilized to extend the stable operating limitation. The influence of steady inlet total pressure distortions on a single-rotor low speed (2400rpm) compressor was investigated with a series of different distortion configurations. The experimental results show how micro tip injection can improve the stall margin of the compressor under the distorted conditions,although the injection rate is designated to be only a few ten thousandth of the compressor flow rate. On the other hand, The dynamic signal was analysed using a wavelet-based method to show the behaviour of stall inception behaviour with and without injection under different distortions.
