EXPERIMENT AND NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS INVESTIGATION ON FLOW VISUALIZATION OF LAMILLOY INTERNAL SURFACE

This experimental and numerical study is part of the research on understanding better cooling effect in the lamilloy.Oil flow technique is used for flow visualization of the solid surface of this king of cooling configuration, which is a simple and effective means to display complicated flow structure. The main purposes of our study are to (1) Gain greater in sight into the complex flow structure inside lamilloy. (2) Understand affect factors on the visualization effect of oil flow technique and find proper oil-powder proportion to adapt to various blowing ration. (3) Compare the experimental and numerical results. Numerical simulations using a commercial software turbulence model were also executed to catch more information for better understanding of flow structures of the inner surfaceof lamilloy.
